view hard darive

I would like to view the history stored on my hard drive. I understand that anything viewed on the internet will be listed there. I am new at this, so could someone give me step by step instruction, in simple English, on how to do this?

If i understand you correctly, you will want to go to into internet explorer. From there, go to tools >> internet options. Under the general tab, you will want to click settings in the temporary internet files box. After that, you can click view files and see the recent internet activity.

You can also click the history button which is directly to the right of the 'media' button.

I have already done that, but that has already been cleared. I though there was a way to go directly to the hard drive to see what has been viewed even though it has been erase from the internet file boxes.

Welcome to TN

1. start > search > files or folders
2. search for "temporary internet files"
3. open folder of this name

if the folder is empty then the info has been cleared and will not be anywhere on the drive

Ok, I got through this stage. When I get in there is an Index file (Type: DAT File, Size 16.0 KB) but when I open it nothing shows but "Client Urlcache MMF Ver 5.2". What????
