Actually, a GM of that age shouldn't even need anything more than a paper-clip to scan! fun, huh? The best thing to do is go to your local library and look at the CHILTON or HAYNES repair guide for your vehicle. This will give instructions for this as well as translations of trouble codes.
Its sorta like hackin your car.... _________________ |¤| |

Yip, there is a connecting port which kinda looks like the end of a power supply computer connection right under the dash to the left of the steering window.
Did you actually look? _________________ Owner & Administrator

Nice ride yosh
My first car was a 68 Plymouth Barracuda. It had no engine when I bought it (the previous owner used it in his Pontiac) so I threw an old Chrisler 405 v8 into her. Twin webber 60 carbs, free flow custom exhaust, standerd drivetrain shocks etc.. Damn she perred (sobs remembering selling it) I left all my pics in Zimbabwe, I'll see if my dad can email them, I doubt it though he barely knows how to use the mouse.
She was sky blue with black and dark blue leather interior (my doing) with standard rims and hubcaps. I called her sky. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

I owuld definitely get it checked out.
Having a bad sensor is a very bad thing and can lead to engine failure or even loos of ocntrol on your engine.
Get it done soon and stop thinking about it.
Leting things like this go is not a sign of a good tweaker.
It's like having a virus and saying "meh. I'll get to removing it someday." _________________ Owner & Administrator

Karl, you must have got one heck of a deal or one rusty SOB. Either that or the value of the dollar was insanely high. You can't pick up a rusty cuda body for less than $600US. You must have got a heck of a deal on a motor too. What did you have? 340, 360, 440, 426 HEMI?!? Was it even a chrysler motor? _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

it was a bit rusty but nothing serious, around the bottom of the doors, the floor-pannels..... the usual places on an old ride. The engine came with a four barrel carb but my dad and I put some nice 60 webbers on, my dad bought them for a hotrod he was working on but decided my cuda would do better with them _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock
