Try to save some money by buying a mobile 2500+ processor and a 9800pro instead of the 9600xt. 9800 pro is a much better card for the same price.

If you want to overclock, i would look towards the abit nf7 series motherboard. Otherwise that msi board should be SOLID for stabiltiy.
I would also look for a thermaltake 420watt psu instead of a 350watt from antec. If you can get more from antec then by all means do so but the thermaltake purepower 420 should do very well.

looks like you have a great start there.
But the one thing I would like to point out is that with the boxed 2600+ cpu you would also get a heatsink included with it. If you went the route that Jay was saying and went with a 2500+ mobile cpu then you also have to purchase a separate heatsink. I think that it would probably cost about the same. But either way you go you should have a pretty good system. The only upside with the mobile is that you would be able to overclock it nicely.

Yes, thanks for the catch there. You will need a heatsink if you buy retail or get a mobile.

Mobiles do work with desktops! Match up your pin #'s and you're fine. Just be sure to get a good solid after-market fan, a high-end one if you want to OC it.

You will be able to save 100% of your money ( ~$100vs ~$200 for a 2500m vs 3200}+) I would guarantee taht you could hit 2.2 ghz on a mobile 2500+ processor on that MSI board.
