You don't have to creat multiple e-mail etc or anything, you can add the contents of your 2 clients under your login on the main project website.
Just use add node, of you can add the node / W.Us from another registered name (check the web site, it's all there).

Yeah, I used to ALWAYS go through the most recent post thingy too. Eventually I found the icons worked well and never looked back.

Your tbird seems ok for the temps but I would try to cool down the northbridge somehow. Maybe cut up an old p1 heatsink and ad a 40mm fan if you have those laying around. You will also need some thermal adhesive and not paste. Thermal tap would also work.

i have some arctic alumina and an old p1 hs... so just pasting it on to the n/b should cool it better... that damned msi n/b h/s is lousy as all hell tell u wut.

As long as the p1 heatsink isn't too big it should be better. I would also recommend lapping the heatsink to at least 1500grade finish also. You can either do this or buy another northbridge cooler. It would probably easier and fit better if you buy one, but then what is modding for?

sorry had some down time last ngiht on two of my nodes. I just got one of them back up and not sure when the other one is going to be on, since it hasnt been up since I installed D2OL on it. But as you will see in my Chit Chat thread I have good reason.

I have a question for everyone that is running this client. What video card drivers are you running on nvidia gpu based systems?

WARNING if you are not already running the 61.77s DO NOT upgrade to them. It would seem that my main rig is having trouble with the 61.77s and the D2OL agent. I have not been able to confirm this as of yet but that is the only thing that is different between my systems as far as software.

The problem is I just did a fresh install of XP on my main system. I installed the chipset drivers, then did the windows updates, then vid card drivers, then sound card drivers. Then I installed the D2OL client and everything went screwy cant even get into windows anymore using "last known good config".

I just wanted to get a little info from you guys and to give that warning. I will let you guys know more when I do.

Weaz, there shouldn't be anything in the D2OL program that would be affected by the new video drivers. Its more likely to br the new drivers (heard some bad things about the Nvidia driver updates).

It is likely that your comp overheated and crashed. the number crunchers are just as bad as running prime95 all the time! The temps will shoot straight up and STAY up. Check your temps, or up the voltage to the chip if running stock speed / settings!

I've been running number crunchers / DC projects for years, it's very rare that the CRUNCHER is the cause of the problem. I'm using the same version of the D2OL program and I have no problems.

I didnt start to have troubles till I loaded D2OL on that computer. Then after one reinstall I just loaded the drivers and prime95. At that point it ran two clients for a little over 20 hours no problems. Then I loaded D2OL and it locks up and has problems.

Will join in, in prolly late October...so keep it going guys...
I got the boss/owner to let me use my lab and all unused PC's to crunch for a good cause. I have 3-4 un-used crunchables also. So I'm guessing by 11/1 (that's Nov 1st Josh

) I'll have maybe 7 or 8 going 24/7.
At least that's my plan.

Sorry Josh...it was that US/Europe date thing.....couldn't pass it up.

Mixed variety..p2 and p3 mostly...but I figure I'll go through them jerk all useless junk like sound and whatever...set up an old hub and a router to the T1...and let em go. Got one of them "gorilla" racks I'll set em on and a couple cheap KVM's. I'll reload them to 2K SP4 and that's about it.

I have been thinking about setting up a small cluster of semprons or something to add some cheap computing power for our team. But this will have to wait and see at the current time.

Get a server instead

If you can wait until the end of this week, I will get another pc up with a gf4 mx440 and i'll try the 61.77's with D2OL. We'll see if it works on an older gen card.

ok here is an update! I got it to load into windows in safe mode (thanks Nathan and No I didnt have SP2 thank God) and removed the 61.77 drivers. Rebooted the comp and now can run D2OL no problems. So hhmmm I wonder if it is just on the 6800 series vid cards that is has a problem. Maybe I can test this out a little more when I build a number crunching machine.

Send me a mobile 2400+ (35watt) or 2600+ and we can narrow some of the possibilities. I'll check out google for some similar problems.
