ok so I'm sitting there thinking about blowhole possibilities.. and I thik "Hell, while I'm up there, why not just mod the entire top like a good little tweaker?"
So I jumped into Photoshop and whipped up a topview picture.. BUT alas imageshack is down and angelfire has proven itself to be a whoremonger.. so you'll ahev to wait for the image

Well I feel like a retard.. I was going to the wrong image shack -_- anyways, here's the thing I whipped up in PS, the silver bars on the ends reprisent handles, which will proabbly be black. the the mesh looking stuff.. is well.. mesh stuff...

lol well it's actualy a type of thing wire, they have it at any department store and alot of PSU's have similar stuff. It isn't actualy cross liek i have, it's a bunch of little cricles all side-by-side, it comes in large sheets that you can just cut with almost anything

are you talking about screen door mesh? i found that 2 pieces of screen door mesh sandwiching a filter makes for a very clean looking patch for a newly formed hole in a case.

You will have to offset the fan hole so the fan clears the power supply.

put some spiders in your computer case and they'll spin webs and what nots inside, that would make quite the nature-loving mod.

perhaps a burrowing wasp and watch him try to dig through to bottom of your tank.........or some duck eggs as well......take your HSF off and it might be some good incubation temps......=]

^^^tried that, it just burnt up the eggs.

you could also build a small spacer if the fan protrudes too far.

In theory a blow hole in a computer case is an excellent idea. However there is one drawback. People tend to put things on any empty surface and computers tend to collect things all the time. So if I ever put a blowhole in my box, I will build a cover over it and redirect the hot exhaust air out the back of the area, that way if someone decides to put a coke on top of my computer and it gets knocked over or if anything small falls it won't get inside the case and I can still vent the air out of the top of the case and direct it out the back toward the wall.

Yes I know, that this will make the neat fan less visible, but thats life.
