Pioneer A05

well, i've been trying to decide if i would get the A05 (DVD-R/RW) or spend the extra cash and get the A06 (dual format). i thought i'd wait and save the extra just in case, but really, by the time a format is decided upon (and in my opinion, it'll be the DVD-R), they'll have something else out.

anyway, my decision was pretty much made final a few minutes ago when i walked into the futureshop and saw that they had an open box sale on an A05 ($110 off). i hate buying from them, but i just couldn't pass this up.

i'm going to have to wait till tomorrow before i can install her however, as i'm out of molex's from my power supply already (it's the four hdd's). i'll have to pick up a molex splitter. and then i'm going to have to wait a bit before i can spray paint the bezel to match the rest of the case (that ticks me off... lol).

(i'll post an updated pic of the box when i install the burner tomorrow.)

listen, it took long enough for me to find the right spray paint to match my case, and every thing else in the case is pimpin'... and now there's going to be a hideous beige bezel sticking out like a whore at a pta meeting.

ah well... i'll only leave it beige during the 30 day return period... then it's painting time!

*L* Though if you live in inner-city anywhere maybe it's not that uncomon to see a whore at a PTA meeting.

WAiting for the thirty days is a good idea though.

well, popped it in today, and i was right.
gah.

well, it's not that bad, but damn near.
next up, cable management... big time. what a mess.
