My friend has a Amd XP3000+ with 1G ram and an fx5950, but for some reason his farcry is having graphics problems. The ingame screen comes up almost entirely baby blue with a few random bushes and stuff. Please help.

I have seen somthing similar with Battle Field vietnam, it happens when the resolution is set beond the cards capabilities, usually on slower cards with less memory.

Has he tried using a lower resolution? Sounds like the video RAM is too low for for the texture maps etc at that res.

This problem has been addressed before although I can't remember the solution. I think there was either a patch for it or the newest nvidia drivers solved it. Try searching this site for 'farcry' or 'farcry problems'

I had a similar problem with my 5600 U in far cry with some of the old drivers...after the update all was fixed.
