okay , i just got my computer yesterday , and i was reading the lcd screen , and it was saying that my system temperature was 21-24 at load , which I assume is good , but my cpu temperature , which i think its the CPU processor intel chip correct? 3.2E , was 59 at load , now i think that is normal for a prescott chip ,but any ideas without getting cooling products , that i can bring that down to a mere 50? , i have 7 fans on my xaser case, if adjusting the fans would help , please tell me in which way , i knew the the prescott was going to be hot , so i wasnt suprised

in the future if you can get some better cooling in there it wont hurt at all........just to confirm out of those 7 fans......how many are intake and where are they located?.....and same for exhaust.

P4 Intel 3.2E 1MB Cache
OCZ 2x256MB PC 3700
Western Digital 80GB
ABIT-IC7 Max 3 <------Abit boards read higher than some other makes do
Thermaltake Xaser III V2420
ATI 9700 Pro

taking into consideration the 7-10 degree deviation in the cpu temperature of the Abit boards. You are oding fine with that 3.2E. And yes to get some better temps you would need to upgrade your heatsink.

the heatsink on the processor, So it can keep the CPU (central processing unit or processor) down a tad.

i would switch those exhaust fans on the side to be intake fans.......leave the two fronts as intake fans

standard practice is leaving an equal amount of intake and exahusts......at best one MORE EXHAUST thank intake......keeps the flow moving faster......top fan ex....rear ex...........side panel intakes.....front intakes.....

but with thsoe TWO side fans....this changes a bit.......perhaps an another blowhole?

Yeah. ^^ that creates more current of fresher/colder air from outside the box going through. The more wind the better. =]
