Has Doom III Arrived Early For Some?

Neowin are reporting that some lucky people have got their hands on a copy of Doom III with screenshots hitting the net.
The game which isn't due out till next week in the US and the week after in Europe has been one of the most anticipated games in ages.

Well, I did some research, I found the Best Buy where they were/are selling it.
It's in wisconsin.
Here is the phone call I made.

*riiiing* *automated menu crap* *hits button for software and games department* *hold music, rock'n'roll*
[employee] hello and thank you for calling our best buy software and games department, how may i help you?
[me] Hey, I was reading some stuff on the internet and was wondering if the rumors about you guys releasing doom 3 already were true.
[employee] uhh...............*what sounds like shhhh* ....that game is scheduled to be released on tuesday.
[me] *thinkin, was that a shh?!!* oh, i see...
[employee] yep, hehe, anything else i can do for you?
[me] nah man, thanks for the info!

the shhh was from the guy i was talking to. he sounded pretty cool as in, if you come up here, ill sell it to you.

not necessarily if you work for bestbuy, cuz certain ones are selling it to the public. im just gonna wait till monday and go to ebgames to get it 1 day early.

i bet the CEO of bestbuy is like "wtf n00bs?!!"

Interesting...The newspaper here (I know they print way ahead of time) had disclaimers in several of the ads, including this mornings Fry's.
Stating something on the line of "depending on manufacturers delivery."
So I'm guessing they don't trust the distribution system, to well either. Some people have it others won't get it. Hmmmmm.

Obviously bogus....It also is suppose to be unopened...looks open to me.
