How about the speed of your comp cut into the case.

one I did a while back was a rectangle window, made of 2 perspex plates sealed around the edge and filled with low visosity oil. it had a small fish tank air pump and an air diffuser in the bottom. looked good with a blue light aimed up directly beneath it. slow small air bubbles would rise to the top of the window.

It would be cool if you signed your name in cursive in an etching really big on the window.

to etch glass or perspex just use a 'dremel' tool with an etching bit. or you could try scratching the window, but if you slip you'll be left with the damage.

worst case, you could allways take it some where local that does etching and get a pro to do it.

how about a pentagram with re back lighting?

I would'nt carve any symbols into it thoough, or Satan (or Bill gates as he likes to be called) might get in and you'd need an old preist and a younger preist. now don't forget to scream "The body of christ compells you" that'll teach him. :)

I'd go with the classic fender strat.

what about using some printed transparent sheet, the stuff you use with overhead projectors. would add a nice bit of detail the the case.

Find a pic you like, run it through the printer and use it as a template, cut the case and mount the sheet behind. just a thought

it also depends on your rig

My particular window design was based off of actualy 30 different ideas

but the one i settled on, Im glad works just fine with the rest of the Phantoms case. Ya know...

so also take that into consideration. As you told me before make sure it matches

Instead of etching, a less permanant solution would be to make a template and paint around it with a latex based paint. You would then be able to finish it with a knife and take it off with a razor blade.
