Im considering putting 2 fans in the front of my case and i was wondering, would it help cool down the case if i made a small fan duct with some tubing to connect to the fans and kinda direct the air more towards the motherboard? or should i just leave the fans the way they are?

Fine......

I cant comment as i have never gone thru with it (im a lazy bugger), but as JW said,,,trial and error...give it a go, if you see a difference keep, if it worsens...get rid of it.

you may see lower temps on the motherboard but other temps (HDD's) may go up.

that wouldn't be a bad idea....

if you didn't have fans at first it wouldn't hurt to have a couple of front fans used to provide fresh cool air to your motherboard i say do it...

Ever see a new type of cooling that doesn't work well?

Same people make both. Its all about trial and error. You'll have to let us know how it works out and what exactly you use.

you could also mount your fans at angles using spacers, one angled slightly toward your hdds and one toward the mobo. Just an idea.

Making something yourself is always alot of fun. Be careful and have lots of patience. It may not be as easy as you think at first. The right tools help alot.
