static on CD when using NERO for audio

how can i troubleshoot to get rid of static on my audio CD's when using NERO?

what kind of static are you getting?
only after you burn, do you get this....using nero for what......word your crap better.......lol

have you tried the cd's in another player? maybe the len on the burner or player are dirty

actually.......she is quite a bit older than i am, and we dont live together.....lol

ok, i'm not QUITE a bit older

....(just 12 years --shut up!!!!) anyway...um...yes, the cd's do play fine on other players so maybe the LEN is dirty...but, it is a brand new burner/drive whatever...so, any other ideas?

ha ha ha very funny......i hope NEVER figure it out.......=]

no im kidding.....my best suggestion is to clean the lens.....ive heard this happen with home cd players sometimes but for me it was always CD specific........try updating the firmware.....

You would do this by going to the website of the Manufacturere of your CD burner....its possible they have updates since YOUR burner was made.......there should be some step by step instructions on their site to determine if you need the update, and then a walk-through on how to do so........

um, thanks for the advice...i just got back from florida so i am going to try to clean the lens before i burn again...and then i may have to resort to the incredibly complicated suggestion that my bro posted...fab.
