im not sure i follow exactly what you are looking to accomplish here.......are you seeing if you can instal a car's headunit into a PC case?
in theory yes, they both run off 12v power, but you minght require a separate PSU for the head unit......also you would need to mod the case a bit to fit the damn thing....lol
can i ask exactly what youre looking to do ? _________________

hehehe, i have already done this with an old psu. most 12v rails do have just enough power to run a regular head unit from a car. just make sure the 12v rail has at least 25-30amps that it can give to the cd player. the cd player will probably have to have its own psu.
as for hooking an amp up to a psu, its not a good idea. they just draw too much current for a psu to keep up. if you really want, you can get a car battery and a battery charger and run everything off it. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |
