Well ive had my xdreamer case for a few months and there have been some things i have kind of put off til now, in the front of the case there are the spots for the 2 fans and i have been wanting to put some fans there but i havent been able to get the face of the case off, is this possible? also with pluging my front usb ports into my motherboard. my motherboard is the biostar m7vip and the pins dont match the connecter that the xdreamer connectors are, its slightly different and the manual doesnt help at all.

below is a product pic of my motherboard:

any help would be appreciated! thanks!

have you read your manual for more detailed info? maybe those are made for special biostar brackets or something.

the case front should come off. just examine it very well with the side panel off.

For the front of the case there should be some small philips screws holding it inplace. When you have the side panels removed you should be able to see the screw heads about in the middle of the reverse side of the face.

I thought all usb headers were the same. do you have a pic of the leads coming from the case?

ok I found the screws to take the face off, I didnt see those before thanks kog.

as for the usb connector from the dreamer:

sorry the colors are all funky but my camera sucks.

the connector has 5 holes for the pins, when on the board there is a row with 5 and a row beneath it with 4

does the front of that case have one or two usb connectors? i know most cases have two and they use both rows (4 and 5 pin) to hook up. in your case, you probably just need to plug into the row of 5. if your xdreamer came with any documentation then you may want to make sure you get it plugged in the right way. otherwise try it one way and then the other to see if it works.

12345
6789

that is the general layout for the usb header
pin 1 is the VCC 2 is the usb- and so on

since you have two connectors on the front of the case the vcc would go on pins 1 and 6 respectively. just make sure in your mother board manual that this is correct pin layout, but I believe it to be.

glad i got that to work now, What i did was i figured each connector was for each usb plug itself so id put 1 conntor on the usb1 plugs and the other on usb2, but they both go on usb1, now i dont have to get off my butt and go to the back of the computer to plug it in
