I don't care much about the noise.... I KNOW there's nothing colder than a Tornado on one of these:) _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

i can vouch for that CoolerMaster Aero 4...its not noisey but it will also keep your CPU and Mobo happy . Trust me, I have one...anyways, out of those two i would go with the ThermalRight SP-94 and the vortec tornado fan...but trust me, I said i didn't care about noise until I heard that tornado fan with that heatsink (not that the heatsink makes a difference on noise, or so i think) and jesus that changed my mind on the noise part of it. _________________ CASE ASPIRE ATXA2XPW-BL/420

from what i've seen the new all copper thermaltake silent tower might be a bit better.... and with two 92mm tornado's on it....
now all i'm waiting for is availibility. |

Some of you *may* say the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu can't compete with the ones posted on this thread but I have to say that after installing it my temperatures have really dropped.
With the stock HSF on full load overclocked the CPU temp used to max out at 53C, but with the Zalman it doesn't go above 43C! On idle my CPU temperatures are lower than the MB temps! So I have to give it to Zalman too.
But basically, all rigs are different and it's whatever you fancy the most, and whatever works for you best. The best cooler may not always provide the best cooling for your particular rig.
Happy hunting! _________________

lol - I have a CRAZY amount of wires, don't I?! I'm seriously over-working that little fan controller :). I have like 8 case fans (including a tornado) and a CPU HSF running of it!! I'm not looking for a new case though.... too much $$$ too soon after the x800 _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

zhen you are right that is a good cooler as well. I use that model on my PVR and I believe it has an uptime of over 2 months at this point so there is definately no problems with heat there. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

Hey, Anton! I have that exact same problem, however, I've got extra 2 side intake fans.
Are there any good suggestions out there on how to maximise airflow when your front two fans are being blocked by HDD drives and a load of wires?
Thx,
Zhenya. _________________

FreeTheRock,
How's changing a Thermaltake XaserIII for a Coolermaster Wavemaster case going to solve my wiring problem?
Btw, that is not meant to sound rude or arrogant, it's just meant to be a straighforward question (I do realise it does sound a bit rude, at first). _________________

LOL - Tom's answer to everything is either "get a wavemaster" or "get ATI, Nvidia sucks." J/k tom... The wavemaster is a seriously nice case - they say it's one of the best air cooling cases around, but If you have a serious wire problem like we do, even the best case won't help :) . I tried zip-tying all my wires together into one big "stem", but that didn't seem to help at all.... I don't know if I can do ANYTHING for the amount of wires I have.... I'll try to post a pic later on today so you guys can get a good laugh :). _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

LOL - how would you describe it?? Look at that thing! It looks like it just spotted a woman for the first time after being beaten over the head THOUSANDS OF TIMES with an " Ugly-stick." Wow - I have this great story about it's life in my head right now........ I can easily imagine it running across a highway right now.. I'm waiting to see a bus hit it but I've been staring at it for the past 5 minutes and i doubt it will happen...
Where did you get that thing anyway?!?! _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

Please STOP!! HAHAHA, Anton, you've got me in stitches! HAHAAA. LOL!
I got it from some avatar site, didn't bookmark it so I can't remember. But hell, it's good. I dunno, I see a dumbass expression on it's face. Like it's one of those dumbass lamas you see hoping along in the countryside!
I'll try finding the site, meanwhile, I'll post a couple of avatars I've got on my HDD for you in due course. _________________
