So, I built my computer, and I am having many problems. The first one is that my computer is reading my CPU as 1.1 GHZ instead of 1.8. I have a barton 2500. I went into the Bios, and my bus speed for my cpu was running at 100. now if my cpu has a 333fsb, then shouldn't I just change it to 166. but the thing is, if my processor has 333fsb, then should/'t it be more like 166.2 or something, to get it exactly right?

Thanks

Setting the FSB to 166 will give you 333FSB seeing the bus is running at double speed. Dont worry about the 0.5 settings that you are missing, they just use 166 to be simple.

Thanks Nathan.

So.... My computer seems to be running fine except for that CPU problem. I think the multiplier settings on it are wrong. Do you know that multiplier settings for the AMD Athlon XP barton 2500+?? or will it get corrected by me just changing the FSB from 100 to 166.

Thanks
