I currently bought the Asus P4C800 E Deluxe motherboard. I'm looking at the wiring to install on the motherboard, (power LED, HD, Reset, Speaker wires) They are all different colors like green/white and black and red, and all misc colors. How do I know which one is negative and which one is positive?
PS. Not sure if this is in the right forums. |

They should work either way except for the HD and power led.
If they dont work just reverse them. _________________ Abit Max3, Intel2.4@ 3.42, 9800pro 460core/380mem., 2 Raptors raid0 |

yup, Troy is right. the only polarized leads are the LEDs. if those don't work, just turn them around and you'll be good to go. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

If I remember correctly the white wire is the negative on the LED leads. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

So for my Lian Li Case
Power LED: Green = Positive, White is Negative
Reset SW: Blue = Positive, White is Negative
Speaker: Red = Positive, Black is Negative
So it's like this and so on?

That is correct. On the switches they are not polarized so they dont matter. But the LED's need to be connected correctly in order to work. I have in some cases run into the wiring not holding true to this method. But for all intents and purposes this is the method that is used. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back!
