Temperature Program?

Hey. I was getting ready to overclock and I was wondering what a good program for telling Idle temps and load temps are. I know it sounds newbish but that's what I am when it comes to this topic...sorry for the annoyance.

motherboard monitor is a pretty good program for monitoring your . . .er . . . motherboard. i'm sure you can also use Asus probe or whatever program you can get from their website.

If you have an Asus motherboard AsusProbe is great! And for any other board MBM5 (motherboard monitor 5).

okay thanks. and how do you find the load temps...because I know when i load my computer up I can't open any programs so I don't understand how you can get an efficient load temp. Also, whats a good program to monitor your graphics card temp, and how high should one be? Thanks

load temps are not the same as loading temps. run a program such as prime95. this will allow you to find the temp of the system during maximum stress or load.

your video card must support thermal monitoring. if it does, then the manufacturer should have supplied something to monitor it.

The asusprobe has a history feature that way you can see what the temps were while you were in the middle of the game. And unless I am mistaken MBM5 has a feature like that as well.

He has an ABIT motherboard so either use Winbond Hardware Doctor, ABIT EQ or indeed Mohterboard Monitor.
Didn't you get some of this software with your motherboard? You should have something like ABIT EQ on the driver disc.

actually, at the moment, i believe UnFoRgIvEn876 has an asus p4s800. correct? he is looking to get a new motherboard but as jkd2k4 said, just use the appropriate or supplied tool for monitoring your hardware.
