Hi everyone,
I recently knew about the PCI Slot Fans. I like this idea but don't know which one is a good one. Any experience you want to share?
Thank you very much _________________ ASUS P4P800 SE

I had accidentally order a PCI fan that had two little tiny ass 40mm fans that were ducted....didn't do s***. The best that i have seen for exhaust is an antec...it does 42CFM....the more the merrier... ( http://www.jandr.com/JRProductPage.process?RestartFlow=t&Section_Id=1120&Product_Id=1041496 ) I'd say that if you need exhaust go with something along those lines....if you just want it to blow against your video card, pick something w/ an 80 or two on it to circulate.....that's my two cents _________________ |¤

Suprisingly enough, when I broswed for the stores having those fans, accidenttally I got to a forum in which people said this kind of fans are trashs, do not help much and they die quickly???? Any idea? _________________ ASUS P4P800 SE

no clue......i have had no problems with it but i'll admit....mine is quite new........
as for ineffective.......i dont believe it...i love it......helps with upward airflow toward my blow hole...and keeps my pci cards under flow.......
AND ITS BLUE!!!! CLEARLY THE FASTEST COLOR THIS YEAR!!!!!! WHAT MORE CAN YOU NEED!!!!! this blue light makes my cpu run at like a bagillion times faster.......!!!!
ok that whole last part was a joke....=] _________________

Toogle,
I saw your case has 7 fans?? Did you make use all of them :) About the PCI fans, let's wait for some more feedbacks:). How many degrees can the fan help the mobo? _________________ ASUS P4P800 SE

its not necessarily one fan that makes or breaks the mobo temp.......but how they all work together.......lotsa fans postioned poorly, equals bad airflow.....bad airflow means heat.......heat means hotter cpu......duh...lol....silly me
anyway.....adding this one fan wont do much onits own per se......but i think it will help overall _________________

^^^very true. poor airflow means trapped air which equates to heat buildup. it is best to try and get rid of all of a case's dead air spots. the more air you can get to run CLEANLY through your system the better. the number of fans doesn't necessarily mean much.
what makes the difference is the fans working in harmony. try to get air to move from front to back or top to bottom. this is why blowholes help out so much. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

RIGHT ON!!! I have a piss-pot of fans....I mean alot....and until I get more air INLET (or a hell of alot fewer cables), she's gonna keep running a bit warmer than I'd like her to. That's life I suppose...damnit. As for the 80mm fans on the PCI card go, if they do in fact have a poor lifespan, they are readily replacable w/ a higher quality 80 mm. Nuff said.
As for me, until i get more suck, i'm all blow (in my case that is....) _________________ |¤

I have 1 on top to take the air out and 1 on the side panel to give some cool air.
But I really like the idea using the PCI slots to exhaust some hot air . I probably will give it a try soon:) Thank you for your feedbacks. _________________ ASUS P4P800 SE
