homepage stuck

man google sent me to a bad site when i was researching romeo and juliet......and a whole buncha porn and stuff popped up and took me a while to exit out of. then i noticed my homepage is set to an adult search site and i cant change it with spybot, hijack this, adaware, etc......any tips?...and i looked in win folder and couldnt find anything suspicious or anything i could understand for that matter.

This doesnt sound like spyware or the such. You should do a virus scan! There are trojans that hijack your home page. I built one system for a friend and the system got hit with something like this with in the first week. It got to the point where you werent able to to anything online with out being redirected to the hijacked site. The final cure for that system was a complete re-install of windows and NEW virus software (only after writing "0"s on the drive)

Here is a hijacker detecter and remover tool try this it sounds like you homepage has been hijacked.

i cant reinstall OS....its an alienware and has a whole buncha cool alienware features i cant put back on the machine. uuhh i installed norton AV and my pc ran slower than my dads 500mhz p3 laptop. and i couldnt get it to scan my system...just froze there.
