Anyone here play paintball any? I'm gonna play tomorrow, just made me wonder if anyone here does. If you do post what gun you have/play with. I've got a Spyder Shutter with a 14' inch Night Stick barrel and a collapsable stock. The stock is the one for a Model 98 with an adapter so it will fit Spyders. I pretty much play woodball. I've played speedball some but it kinda pointless. I think woodball takes more skill. Anyway, post if you play. :)

Well if you play paintball the right way, you don't die. But yeah it is awesome to play. You should start.

Do you mean that their CO2 tanks blew up or something?

Big fan of painball. Have played several times, but always outdoor. I do not play enough to justify owning my own equipment. I agree that speedball takes less skill, but the excitement/adrenaline level is much higher, since the danger is much more immediate. I don't like to play speedball, however, because you go through paintballs so fast, that you need to have Donald Trump as a financial backer in order to play effectively. I would like to play outdoors with a sniper rifle, since I am a big fan of the surprise/long range take out.

Yeah that's why I don't like speedball, costs to much to pay for that many paintballs. But I have found a site, www.paintballgear.com, that has 2000 pbs for $35 which is the cheapest I could find. The Night Stick barrel I have has greatly affected the accuracy of my gun. It shoots straighter and more consistant now. I hope I kick ass tomorrow I better get some sleep.

I have been an avid player for over 8 years now. I have even worked for and managed a paintball field. As far as I know there have only been deaths relating to tank mishandling. As a sport it is safer than golf even. Although PB does have more of a sting to it. But according to the insurance carriers PB is safer than quite a few other activities.

I own four Auto-cockers, two of these are on nitrogen. The down side of my job is I dont get to play that much anymore. I am thinking it is time that I ask for a week-end off and go out and throw some paint.

The first time I played was in the later part of '95 and with the rental package I got 200 paintballs. Well at the end of the night I went home with some of those. Now after playing and getting the hang of the game in a good day I can go thru 2500 rounds. It can be an expensive hobby, but it is addicting too. I would recommend it to anyone.

well my main is a red anodized vertical feed.
red anodized WGP hinge trigger frame with a flame trigger and black DYE sticky grips.
an Air America "voilator" main reg (operating pressure of 350 psi)
Stainless DYE 12" barrel
WGP STO ram
Shocktech "bomb" 3-way
Palmer's Micro-rock pneumatics reg
Shocktech medium drop forward
titanium pump arm, cocking rod and 3-way actuator rod.
Stainless Hammer and adjusting block.
Custom polished hurricane low pressure valve.
Madman spring kit
Polished and ported stock bolt.
5000 psi nitrogen tank from Pure Energy

and my back up is a black right feed "cocker"
WGP hinge trigger frame in black. stock trigger, and black DYE sticky grips.
Air America Uni-reg main regulator
Aluminum DYE 12" barrel
P&P chrome ram.
P&P chrome 3-way

Shocktech medium drop forward
stainless pump arm, cocking rod and 3-way actuator rod
Custom polished hurricane low pressure valve

I started out with a used "cocker" and borrowed parts from a friend when I played. I have come a long way since then. We all have to start somewhere. :)

Very nice. I can't afford a really nice gun. I plan on getting a regulator, assault block, bottomline setup, and change the chrome parts on my gun to black ones sometime this summer.

I have a 98 Custom not to bad for a stock gun. Only added 20oz bottle w/stock
Would like to get maybe a 10 or 12in. barrel. Have any comments on a good one for this gun?

I play in the woods alot but the Flatline Barrel i dont to much care for on 98 Custom. Slows down the ball to much.

My friend got a 12in. Nightstick for it. It's also what I have on my Shutter, except I have a 14in. I haven't used his gun much but seems like a nice cheap barrel. But I have never used an expensive/high end barrel.

a good barrel for the 98 custom is any made by DYE. And it does make a difference on the barrels. I believe another good product is CP (custom Products) They are local here to Phoenix but I think that you can get them thru alot of sources out there.

As soon as I get the LPR's changed out on my guns I will post pics of em.
