I want to add an lcd display that will show the watts used on my PSU (similar to the new sirtec PSU's have)
wanted to know... how the heck do i do it? |

that would be a very, VERY tricky thing to do. i'll look into it (tear one apart). the hardest part would be trying to find out the exact leads to tap into so that you get the correct reading. also, you'll have to find out what device you would use to measure it.

Nate's prolly right. it would be much safer and easier to buy one with the lcd on it already. i don't realy know of any instruments that measure wattage like that.
you can use a multimeter to see how much current is running through the 12v and 5v lines. then multiply the actual voltage by the ampers to get wattage but you probably want something that'll tell you instantaneously at any given time? or are you just trying to see how much your actually using in general? _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |
