|
|
Hello,
My system configeration is P4 2.66ghz, mbo Intel D865GBF, 512 DDR Ram, AGP Asus 9520TD 256mb, 40giga Maxtor Hard Drive, OS Win98se. The problem that I am facing is in the system properties it is saying that my system is in MS-DOS compatibility mode which has reduced my systems overall performance and it says that the problem has something to do with Windows being unable to identify a real-mode driver or memory-resident program loaded in Config.sys or Autoexec.bat file. But those files are totaly empty. How can I switch my windows to normal mode? How do I solve this problem? Will someone please help me?
Thanks. |

first off, I would update to a better operating system
Win98 can not take advantage of Hyperthreading, nor can it manage anything over 256megs of ram properly.
Time for a format and reinstall. _________________ Owner & Administrator
