Really depends on what you want to do with your photos. HP has some decent software packages with their photo printers, that help transfer and organize your pictures. The print options also allow you to sharpen, remove red eye, colour balance, etc. For me, Photoshop is my program of choice. know that the price tag is high, and the learning curve is great, but if you really want total control of your photos, this is the way to go. Adobe also offer a limited version called Photoshop Elements. It is a lot cheaper, and is designed for the novice user.

Your camera will take pictures that have resolution aprox. equal to 35mm, so you just need to decide what you want to do with your pictures after you have taken them. If you just want to touch them up, and archive them, Elements or the HP bundled software will do just fine. But if you want to get creative, and complex, Photoshop 7.0 will put a smile on your face.
