So, you have broadband but still want to know a litttle something more about your connection that you did not know before???
First you might want to try to see what the modem can tell you about itself by using THIS link to check out the information that you seek.
(that link merely opens your browser and sends a request to your modem)
This works fine with most all cable modems but probably not ADSL.
You can learn about bandwidth limitations, firmware, logs...etc.
Of course a few of thes things may seem a bit obscure at best, but might come in handy one day when looking for answers to other questions or trouble shooting with your ISP.

The IP address 192.168.100.1 is in a range of addresses reserved for local area networks and does not exist on the Internet. The link would be dead for most people unless a computer in their local area network was actually assigned this address and was hosting a webserver. _________________ www.panda.net.au |
