This kinda question will always get some excitement going, whether it's about computer parts, cars. whatever. And there really is no right answer.
The crux of this type of question is "how do you measure 'better'?" For some folks 'better' means 'less costly', for others it's 'more reliable', and for others it might be 'better looking'.
As far as which brand of Ram is 'better', well, I use Crucial and really like it. I've had no problems, no DOA, nothing bad. I've never tried Corsair, but have to believe it also is completely reliable.
I'd say for the most part it's a toss up, and depends a bit on your budget, and what your supplier has available. |

| I just built a system three days ago and installed two 512 (3200 speed) crucial ram cards and it runs awesome. My other computer has only 256 mb of RAM and the difference is HUGE. Check out newegg.com, I got the gig's worth for about $170. |

do u have an a7v8x or an a7n8x? the first is a via chipset and the second is the nforce2. if it is the nforce 2, you will want to use just 2 sticks of ram in slots 1 and 3 for dual channel config. if it is the via, you can mix the ram but overclocking would probably not be very possible. you should try to go for some good pc3200 so that you can overclock well in the future . . . just a tip.
p.s. this is a memory question and should probably be in the motherboards and memory category. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |
