Will a Chaintec Zenith9CJS MOBO fit in a Compaq 5716 case? The case is a full tower.
It's such a nice looking case I hate to throw it out.
Thanks, Kerry |

Trust me, throw it out.
It doesn't have the airflow that your motherboard requires. _________________ Owner & Administrator

The cases with windows sure are snazzy looking.
What I did in preparation for the eventual demise of my present 4-yr-old HP was to buy a cheap case about a year ago, so that when my PC died I wouldn't be forced by time pressure to buy something I would regret. So I do have a new, extremely cheap, case and I have Antec Treue550 power supply to replace the 400 Watt OEM that came with the case. Since then I've been studying and noting what components I want in my new PC. I've very excited and ready to go. This will be my first attempt at assembling my own.
I had in the back of my mind to cut some extra fan holes in an old Compaq case I have but I'm going to stick with my cheap-case plan. I'll know I'll be satisfied with the improvement, from 1.3 to 3.0 MHz, and with the new Raid 0 configuration using two WD 10,000 RPM Raptors.
Thanks for your support Nathan,
Kerry |
