I recommend the 2500+ if you are going to be overclocking

they are only 90 bucks at newegg.com

i would probably shoot for a 2500+ too. i think a few unlocked ones are sneaking around at newegg but don't get your hopes up. just a rumor so far. i think your 2400+ is a 266fsb and not a 233. just a typo i've seen from a lot of people that bugs me a bit.

well, u seemed to be complaining about price, so we tried to list an inexpensive processor. w/ pc3200, u can bump the fsb of the 2500+ (166mhz) to a 3200+ (200mhz) very easily. if u have the money, i guess the 3000+ wouldn't be a bad choice. aim for the 166fsb one. you can overclock that to 3400+ or 3600+ speeds w/ pc3200 and a 200fsb. i just can't get away from overclocks

looks like amd just went through some price drops. the retail version of the 2500+ is down 7 bucks.

you may also want to check out the mobile barton 2500+ processors. i didn't know much about them but they are multiplier unlocked and are only $89. there are a great number of speeds that you can run these things at.
