For some reason, when I go to tweaknews.net, it gives me a security alert and says, "The security certificate has expired or is no longer valid." Anyone know whats going on?

Tweaknews works perfectly fine on my moms computer (the one i'm using) but on mine, for some reason it gives me that warning. And since that warning it won't update the site, for example it won't show new forum posts, and it won't let me post (well it will but I won't be able to see it).

Ok well playing around with this and trying to get it to work I've found the main problem, its not tweaknews.net, but the search bar that is associated with peoplepc. I use peoplepc as my second internet connection since I have 2 phone lines and mom uses the net too. It gives me the error message for whatever is my homepage. Does anyone use or has dealt with peoplepc before? If anyone knows how I can get rid of the search bar that would help me out a lot. Thanks.

try this . . . open up IE, go to tools/internet options. under the general tab select settings in the "temporary internet files". check the "every visit to page" circle so that IE looks for newer versions of the page. lemme know if this works or not.

hmmm, never dealt w/ people pc before. maybe u can uninstall it to see if that helps, although u may not want to b/c u seem to use it too much.

OR, i just had another idea . . . right click the gray-colored part next to "help" in IE. then try to uncheck the peoplepc icon to get rid of that searchbar. also try the "customize" after right clicking if u can't find the peoplepc searchbar there.

Yeah I tried that. It is integrated like a b*tch . I e-mailed them asking how I can get rid of it, I'll wait and see what they say.
