Patriot Memory Torqx 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD) Review @ ModSynergy.com |
Posted by Nathan @ 1:22 PM (EST) |
A few months ago, I had the chance at sharing with you about Solid State Drive (SSD) technology, but it was meant as a removable storage laptop application. I shared with you about SSD technology, how it is an alternative to the conventional hard drive, but at the same time offering you the advantages of flash based technology. I shared with you the benefits such as zero noise, low heat and substantially faster sustained transfer speed. But I never had the chance to experience SSD in a desktop platform day in and day out. |

Since he became conscious being, man has collected and kept various stuff. First, those were material things like food, land, gold or money, and how the man became more modern and educated, information has become the most valuable and most wanted good. Samsung SCX-5635FN Monochrome Multifunction Printer Review @ CCER |
Posted by Nathan @ 1:21 PM (EST) |
The Samsung SCX-5635FN multi-functional printer is definitely capable of doing many things for the home or office. It is able to print a single sided Word document at 36 pages per minute or 18 sheets per minute in duplex, essentially saving you paper while not slowing down your print job. The level of detail on the scanning and capabilities offered through SmartThru Office and on the printer itself makes for a very versatile unit. You won't have to spend time copying at one machine and faxing at another - it can all be done with the SCX-5635FN. |

ECS has released four motherboards based on the new Intel H55 chipset, which is targeted to the new Core i3 and Core i5 processors with integrated video. Although they also have high-end products, ECS is definitely better known for providing motherboards with the lowest price tag in the market. Let's see what you can expect from H55H-CM. |

Well, we finally got our chance to play with one of the bigger cases in the Lancool line up, the PC-K58. The K58 looks much like the K56, but 30mm taller, a little bit heavier and with a re-designed top panel. I stated earlier that I wanted very much to review the K58 and the above is just a small reason on why. Entry level or not, I can't wait to dig into this case to see just what more is different with the K58. |

Back in February of 2008 we had our first encounter with Noctua and their (at that time) flagship cooler, the NH-U12P. This cooler was initially release with LGA775 and AM2 platforms in mind. Since its release there have been new sockets come to market. When Intel released the LGA1366 socket, Noctua released a new version of their SecuFirm mounting system and a dual fan version of the NH-U12P, the NH-U12P SE. Now with the release of the LGA1156 socket Noctua has again updated their cooler mounting system to accommodate the new socket and released a new version of the NH-U12P, the NH-U12P SE2. The NH-U12P SE2 is the same cooler that was released back in 2008; it just has the updated mounting system and a couple of extra accessories that the first release didn't have... |

Opening up the packaging to reach the delights inside, we find the earphones themselves, sporting a slick aluminium look and coming complete with a 1.3 metre cable and a 3.5mm jack for connectivity to any relevant device. Attached a little way down the left earphone's cable is an extremely small microphone that you'd actually be hard-pressed to notice and recognise as such if you didn't know the full capabilities of this device. Finally, and as per most decent sets of earphones these days, three different sized earpieces are provided to suit your own needs and comfort, which is always welcome. |

SATA 3.0 may have been available to consumers for the past couple of months, but the number of hard drive options out there are ultra-slim... just one. That drive is Seagate's Barracuda XT. The question we're looking to answer here is whether or not the $100 premium for SATA 3.0 is worth it, at least on a mechanical offering. |

In the last week I’ve taken a look at regular headphones and earbuds, so today I have a gaming headset to round things off a bit. Mionix is a company based out of Sweden actually, and they’re trying to get into the market on this side of the ocean so they’re not very well known here. They do however make some pretty good products, I’ve got a couple of their mice and like them quite a bit, using one right now actually. They’ve recently released a gaming headset called the Keid 20 and that’s what I’ve got of review for you today. The Keid 20 is a very comfortable headset that’s nicely made and designed with decent audio but it does have one flaw, so read on to learn more… |

You've seen the Fenrir take on the Intel i7 920. Today, you're in for more Viking-themed cooling action. That's right, the Skalli from Titan is stepping up to the plate to see if he can put our test bench CPU on ice like his bigger brother. Sure, it's not as large and doesn't bring quite as much metal to the table, but Direct Touch Technology is Direct Touch Technology. This mid-sized heat pipe tower-designed CPU cooler wants its chance to shine. |
