Just as Mozart has his everlasting music, will this become a hit for eons to come or is it doomed to be hidden in some server room pulling triple duty?" |

The world is cluttered with the dead and dying remains of poorly designed, mass-produced OEM pc cases, but you won’t find one at my place. As a hardware enthusiast I expect more from my cases. There has to be plenty of space inside them. They have to be well-made. Cutting edge innovation isn't necessary, but I do prefer to see some thought going into the making of a case. To be honest, I'm quite tired of the cookie cutter cases some of the industry has been churning out over the last few years. |

Where routers are concerned, TRENDnet may not be the first name to come to mind, but their popularity is quickly growing. On our test-bench is a perfect example as to why that's the case. If you are looking for a feature-rich N-based router for a reasonable price, the TEW-633GR is worth a look. |

The GPU itself differs from the G92 only by fewer unified processors and texture units, bringing the 256-bit bus into the sub-$200 price range." |

The word vendetta makes me think of the recent movie, V for Vendetta. It makes me think of a challenge and rebellious behaviour against the establishment. So what does this mean in regards to OCZ's Vendetta CPU Cooler? I'm guessing it refers to OCZ's fight against the heat eminated within from processors: OCZ's Vendetta against heat! Sounds corny? Yes it does. BUT did OCZ win the bitter feud? Let's find out. |

“External options still seem to be the best because of all those factors. Millsy has been checking out some huge back planes from Thecus which are perfect for the hardcore data fiends. AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ Socket AM2 CPU Overclocking Review @ OCInside.de |

Without betraying too much - all three processors could be overclocked from original 2100 MHz (X2) up to far over 3000 MHz (X2), whereby not only the benchmark result was increased, but also the power consumption. |

"Oh my god, I've gone "Green." What can I say about the GA-X48-DQ6? Well, performance-wise, it stacks up quite well against many of the motherboards out on the market now. In the gaming benchmarks the X48-DQ6 was just dominating. In the scientific benchmarking phase of the testing, it came out on top in well over half the tests and was a close second in most of the others. If the X48 chipset is just a better binned X38, than I am sold on the binning process. The performance gained during most of the testing was a nice plus to a chipset that I was not expecting much more than the capability to overclock a bit better than the last gen chipset. Support is there for the latest 1600 FSB processors, so picking up that QX9770 and putting it into the DQ6 should prove fruitful during the next benchmarking session." |

"You wouldn't know by looking, but Intel's a little new at the chipset business. It's not that they haven't been doing it for decades, but just that they've never made a business out of it. Until recently. Intel's 975X did well; i965 blew doors off hinges. And, though it's a little long in the technospheric tooth, i965's footprint is almost too big to fill. Without presuming that its successor, P35, is shiny and better, I've tested what looks like a crowd-pleaser: Asus' P5K-E WiFi-AP. For less than $150, it's priced right where everyone can reach it, and comes with the right amount of flash to nab attention from the rest." |

"I listened to a radio program recently discussing the impact of "Phantom Load" on the electricity grid. Small amounts of electricity are constantly being consumed by devices that are plugged in but appear to be shut off. These "sleeping" devices constantly draw power from the grid, twenty four hours per day, seven days per week. With more and more high-tech devices becoming commonplace among modern homes, this load continues to increase. Being a geek and PC enthusiast at heart, I suspected more to the electric load in my energy efficient home than just compact fluorescent bulbs. I was really intrigued by the thought of this and decided to conduct some testing of my own." |

"The Gigabyte EX38-DS4 utilizes the X38 chipset from Intel. The motherboard features a silent cooling system with rather large heatsinks on both the PWM and the northbridge. Notice that the southbridge is not connected via a heat pipe to the northbridge but rather, it is cooled by its own heatsink. On the back of the motherboard, you’ll see a copper backplate where the northbridge is. This setup allows the northbridge to dissipate heat in multiple directions." |

Introducing the all new GA-X48-DQ6 from our friends over at Gigabyte, this is their flagship motherboard for the new Intel 1600MHz FSB CPU line and it looks like a winner from first glance. The motherboard comes in an all gold box that is so shiny it gleams and reflects in the light. Featuring support for ATI's dual VGA card CrossFire cards and DDR3 memory are just the tip of the iceburg on this one folks. Intel’s X48 chipset brings a lot to the table including support for the latest Yorkfield CPUs. Gigabyte has done a wonderful job with the chipset allowing the end-user to use DDR2 memory which has lower latency per clock than the newer DDR3 memory and is less expensive and more readily available compared to the newer memory. The GA-X48-DQ6 has all of the features that the enthusiast would want from a new motherboard and higher performance than the X38 to boot. |

“The case isn't just a gimmick, because it actually does have plenty of useable features. There is the potential for excellent cooling all around given the number of fans included and the fans that can be added. With ultraportables being all the rage now it is hard to pack all the power into a notebook that can be easily carried around. Lenovo is able to do that with the T61p at only 1.1-inches thick and weighing in at 5lbs, it is smaller than most mobile workstations. Motherboards are at the heart of every computer, and their importance is central to stable system operation. Because everything rides on the system mainboard, it must be based on a solid and dependable foundation. Gigabyte isn't a new name to the industry, and for years now they have offered some of the most reliable and stable motherboard sold. In fact, over the past year there really only seemed to be two realistic options for motherboard manufacturer's when you shopped for new hardware; and Gigabyte was one of them. " The Sonos is a plug and play system with a beautiful remote control. They have released the Sonos Bundle 130 which includes a Sonos ZonoPlayer 80 (ZP80), a Sonos Zoneplayer 100 (ZP100) and a Sonos Controller (CR100). Using these devices will provide instant access to your entire digital music collection, along with millions of songs from music services and online radio. It takes literally ten minutes to get this setup up and running. It is basically an idiot proof setup. " |

"BFG, the traditional video card manufacturer, has recently entered into the Power Supply business. Their 800 W model has two 80-mm fans to cool down the unit and the PC and two PCI Express auxiliary connectors, to feed two video cards under SLI or CrossFire configuration. Let's take an in-depth look inside this power supply and see if it can really deliver its labeled 800 W. " |

"My point being, if you are still using an ancient CRT monitor, you owe it to yourself and your desk to upgrade to a slim LCD and there is no better time than the present. Today we will be looking at a "budget" 19" widescreen LCD monitor, the Black X2gen VGA/DVI TFT LCD Monitor w/Speakers, to see if it is worth the relatively low asking price." |

"Today for review I've got the b-Envi SFF case from bGears and it's a nice case overall packed with several cool features like a built in removable 2.5" hard drive enclosure, 58-in-1 card reader and quiet 120mm fan. The b-Envi is an all aluminum case making it very lightweight and portable with room for two hard drives and one optical drive. The first thing that struck me about this case was the fact that there are no buttons on it, it features a touch sensitive panel with 'buttons' that light up to be touched when you want to power of/off or reset the system, it even has an automatic locking mechanism so the 'buttons' can't be accidentally touched. "The latest graphics card to make its way to the labs at TweakTown (and the public very soon) is the 9600GT. Generally speaking, any x600 form of card has never been that exciting really; sure the 8600GT and 8600GTS weren’t bad, but far from what you’d call exciting. |
